  • The perception of 'cancel culture' and 'wokeness' in juxtaposition with feminism, both modern and classical
  • What constitutes a crime suitable for capital punishment
  • Human rights as a whole vs human rights as an individual
  • Individualism vs collectivism, and why both are equally valid and equally toxic
  • Linguistic changes to support those who are more sensitive, and why there may be some merit there vs why we shouldn't change things around
  • Why famous people generally aren't genuine, and who I see as exceptions to that concept
  • Why I refuse to worship famous people like so many others tend to do
  • The toxicity of religion, the toxicity of atheism, and why the old religions had it right
  • Why AD&D2e is still a valid TTRPG even though it's difficult as hell
  • Why people are so goddamned inflexible with their viewpoints. Seriously, if the thought of considering a different viewpoint breaks you, then you need to limber up!

There's not much to say. I kept an eye on the developing story regarding the shootings in Los Angeles, CA today. Which ones, you ask? HA! That's a good point! That part actually doesn't matter to the context of my rant. What does , is the fact that the politicians went on politicing during the press conference about the shooting! Shut the fuck up about teachers, transit funding, and diversity when lives have been lost in such a tragic manner! Your politics has nothing to do with the shooter, the victims, or the fact that the victims were celebrating Chinese Lunar New Year!  But, this just goes to prove an old belief of mine -- politicians don't care.  However, when I was discussing this issue with some friends of mine, they  brought politics into it as well! Welcome to Writer's Wednesday. In these entries, I generate a writing prompt from Seventh Sanctum , quickly write a short story based on that prompt, and post it without critique or going back for revisions [other than to correct SPaG].
