Mnok, Tromd, Nat, and Rez, Goblins of the Rose Hill, are seated around a fire in the main cavern of the Rose Hill Grotto. Nearby, a stick-and-twine cage holds five giant rats. Far in one corner of this cavern, there is a Goblin Alchemist hard at work creating potions of fire-breathing.

Mnok Stonearse the Enlightened: "The Goblins were behind the curse." That's a rich headline coming from them damned Humans!

Tromd Boneshade the Unusual: Uh, what is 'curse', Mnok?

Nat Dreadbasher the Drunk: It when Human put Dwarven cheese in Elven wine, ha ha!

Rez Madbasher the Scholar: Tromd, a 'curse' is when one who has extra-natural powers makes something happen according to some [Nat Dreadbasher lets out a cavern-shaking belch which causes the caged rats to panic and squeak loudly] sort of circumstance.

Mnok: [clearly irritated by the others getting sidetracked] Ahem, I hate to interrupt this spirited discussion on divine cloud of fartgas, but we have a pressing matter at hand. We Goblins of the Rose Hill are being blamed for the disappearance of the Humans' silverware. This means they'll...

Dgosut Foulmouth: [Dgosut runs to the firepit and interruptis Mnok] MNOK! MNOK! The Humans have sent a messenger! He looks tasty, but the last time we ate a messenger, the Humans weren't happy about it and sent big cats into our cavern. What should I do?

Mnok: [Mnok sighs heavily and stands to address Dgosut] Rez and I will speak diplomatically to this Human messenger and tell him that we are not the ones responsible. Tell him that we will meet him outside.

Mnok and Rez leave the main cavern as Nat rips the foulest of farts. Tromd screams, "ARGH! BLUE CLOUD! BLUE CLOUD!"

There's not much to say. I kept an eye on the developing story regarding the shootings in Los Angeles, CA today. Which ones, you ask? HA! That's a good point! That part actually doesn't matter to the context of my rant. What does , is the fact that the politicians went on politicing during the press conference about the shooting! Shut the fuck up about teachers, transit funding, and diversity when lives have been lost in such a tragic manner!
