Damned Writer's Block

Maybe because it's Xmas. Maybe because I'm in an immense amount of pain. Maybe because I'm actively tying to write something before I start hallucinating from the immense amount of pain.

Either way, it's clear to me that I am experiencing a small writer's block.

Don't get me wrong, though. I could whip up a few paragraphs about Tarl Frenrir's adventures through the world of Exil and spin a tale about how he allied himself with one of the three Guardians of Death's Gate in order to defeat an ancient Lich and save the world from vast hordes of undead spewing up from the seas. I could whip up half-a-dozen lines about how the realm in my campaign, Elevation of Kings, defied physics in a way that made absolute sense. I could even write a small missive about how pissed off I was that new Star Wars has completely erased Kyle Katarn, one of the most important characters to the orginal Star Wars canon.

Instead, I'm still trying to focus my blogging inward and write about things that are affecting my life, things I'm reminiscing about, what I'm feeling, and whatnot. I want to write about how much pain I'm in due to a fractured molar. I want to rant about how much I hate that big-box stores are co-opting the hand-made aesthetic of subtle imperfection. I want to tell my friends and family how much I appreciate them. But I'm blocked.

It is what it is.
