Taking a Break from Social Media

Good fucking gods, there's a lot of bullshit and drama going on right now. It's enough to drive a sane man mad, so imagine what it's doing to my psyche. Between people raving about their political beliefs and blaming someone who has no actual power to others raving about their religious beliefs and claiming that everyone who doesn't believe like them is going to spend an eternity in whatever religion's plane of torment.

Then there's people like me. People who are so fed up with it that we'd rather suck-start a .357 Magnum than hear any more of it. Like seriously, I understand that you are of a different skin tone, political leaning, and sex/gender ideology than me, but does that mean you have to get in my face and scream incessantly that my opinion doesn't matter because I've got a peen, lighter skin, and am questionable in my beliefs of gender normativity?

The other day, I was full-on blamed for perpetuating the specific ideology that incited the recent school shooting in Texas because I believe that we should all have a right to free speech and to bear arms. Nope, I'm a privileged white male and, fuckin' apparently, a Nazi. 😕 Who the hell keeps coming up with this nonsense?

With all that said, I'm taking a hiatus from social media for a while. I'll continue to write in my blog and will be monitoring my messenger, but this shit... fuck this shit.
